Gold Medal with Words.1

For the second consecutive year, Bentham IMF received top-tier recognition from Chambers and Partners, which selected us in the second edition of its U.S. Litigation Support Guide as one of only two “Band One” litigation funding companies. And for the first time ever, we are celebrating top tier recognition received by our parent company, IMF Bentham (ASX: IMF), in Chambers’ first ever ranking of litigation finance companies in the Asia-Pacific region.

We are honored to be recognized as one of the best in the industry we’ve enjoyed the privilege of helping to shape since our parent company,
IMF Bentham began investing in commercial litigation in the late 1990s and went public in 2001.

We are also delighted to earn high praise from the accomplished executives and lawyers who recommended we receive these top tier honors, leading Chambers to publish the following:

“Clients are impressed with their style of work and flexibility, with one commenting that they ‘have been very responsive, diligent and helpful in analyzing the claims. They spot issues we don't see on the first read-through.’"

“They often go beyond simply providing funding for a case, with one insolvency lawyer commenting: ‘They helped the client remain solvent through proceedings. I was shocked that they were accommodating enough to do that.’

“They bring a wealth of experience in litigation and a deep understanding of the Australian market, with legal professionals saying: ‘They established litigation funding as an industry in Australia.’"

“IMF Bentham are also held in high regard in the Singapore and Hong Kong markets, with operators in both jurisdictions. Commentators there say: ‘Out of the few cases being funded, IMF are probably funding most of them.’"

“IMF Bentham are well known for their ‘proactive approach’ to funding matters. Clients say: ‘They act not just as a funder, but also add their own expertise in complex litigation.’"

“Their reputation and stability are also highlighted as advantages, with clients and lawyers commenting on the ‘trust’ and ‘familiarity’ that judges accord them.”

Bentham’s Chief Investment Officer-U.S., Allison Chock, was touted for the second consecutive year as being among the notable practitioners in the U.S. litigation funding industry. Chambers noted, “She brings to the role her experience as a trial attorney first with Latham & Watkins and then with the boutique litigation firm Hennigan, Bennett & Dorman. She personally manages a multimillion-dollar investment portfolio for Bentham.” Further commentary indicated, “She is a respected figure in the US market and has ‘done a great job of keeping Bentham at the front of the conversation,’ while enabling a culture that is ‘exceptionally client-focused and takes every relationship seriously from the first call.’"

IMF Bentham’s Global Chief Investment Officer, Clive Bowman, and Oliver Gaynor, Investment Manager and Head of the EMEA office, were recognized by Chambers as notable practitioners in the Asia-Pacific litigation funding industry.

We are proud to be recognized by Chambers as a top-tier band one litigation funder in multiple regions around the world. And we are grateful to have the trust, confidence and loyalty of the many esteemed professionals who are partnering with litigation funders to drive innovation, risk mitigation and financial strategy at their firms and companies.
