Stuart is the Chief Financial Officer for IMF Bentham’s global operations and is based in the Sydney office.
Prior to joining IMF Bentham, Stuart was the Chief Financial Officer, Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for Ironbridge Capital, an Australian-based investment and private equity firm providing funding for domestic and international businesses. His role encompassed financial management, budgeting, modelling, reporting and disclosure, governance, compliance, risk assessment, accounting, taxation, licensing and control issues of the manager, Funds and associated structures across Asia Pacific, the Caribbean and Europe.
Stuart has previously held senior finance and legal positions at Pacific Road Capital and Newport Capital Group. He has advised on financial analysis, compliance and control across the financial services sector in London, including roles at Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and Natwest Markets. He has also worked in private legal practice at Moray and Agnew solicitors and held accounting, audit and advisory positions at ABN Amro and KPMG in Australia.
Stuart has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, a Diploma in Law from the Legal Profession Admission Board and a Graduate Diploma from the University of Technology Sydney. He was admitted to practise as a solicitor in New South Wales, is a qualified Chartered Company Secretary (Governance Institute of Australia) and Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand).
